By: Jett Rosenstein

On January 3rd, players from the 2026-2030 classes participated in the 2026 Summer Tryouts for SBA Bolts Florida, taking place at Jupiter Community Park in Jupiter, Florida. The day consisted of a pro-style workout featuring a 60-yard dash, shuttle runs, defensive work, batting practice, and live scrimmages. Below is a list of standouts that our scouting staff were very impressed about and are encouraging people to keep tabs on these players, not only during the summer but also as they prepare to get ready for their spring seasons as well.

2027 C/OF Cameron Fazio (St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic frame with a strong base and room to add more physicality. Showed multiple above‑average tools throughout the workout. Ran a 6.9 in the 60, one of only four players to get under 7 and tied for the third‑fastest time. Behind the plate, flashed a quick transfer and recorded a 1.94 pop time, the top mark of the event. At the plate, worked from a wide base with a small toe tap, producing a compact, explosive swing geared for line‑drive contact and consistent, fluid barrels.

2027 RHP/OF Chase Harris (St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Strong two‑way player with multiple present above‑average tools. Athletic frame with room to add more physicality. At the plate, maintained an athletic base with fluid actions throughout the swing, extending through contact into a smooth one‑handed finish. Showed control in the box with a line‑drive approach and consistent barrels. On the mound, worked with fluid mechanics and filled the zone at 81–83. Splitter showed significant depth and produced steady swing‑and‑miss. Also looked comfortable in the outfield, showing sharp footwork, effortless accuracy, and clean overall execution, topping out at 84 mph.

2028 C/OF Jake Bruno (South Fork HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Long and lean with plenty of room for growth down the line. Controlled the box well, maintaining an athletic position with a short stride and smooth rhythm throughout the swing. Showed the ability to let the ball travel and use the opposite field effectively. In the outfield, stayed consistent from rep to rep with repeatable footwork and accurate throws, topping out at 75 mph. Behind the plate, moved through effortless transfers and delivered accurate throws with a best pop time of 2.09.

2028 RHP/UT Drew Eklund (Beachside HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Lots to like with the present‑day package here. Above‑average skills and versatility were on full display. Athletic frame with a thick foundation and likely more strength to come. Initially stood out in the outfield with throws topping at 85 mph, tied for the second‑hardest of the event. Plenty of zip on the ball while maintaining accuracy. That theme carried into the infield, where he topped at 80 mph across the diamond with ease, showing clean footwork and strong anticipation. At the plate, maintained an athletic base with an intentional emphasis on getting the head out and showing the potential pull‑side power. Closed out the day with an appearance on the mound, where the high‑octane traits showed up again, rounding out a well‑rounded, impactful showing.

2028 3B/SS Ben Kent (TNXL Academy, FL)
Uncommitted. Already sits in a well‑built frame with plenty of present physicality, and there still appears to be more room for growth to fully unlock the power potential. Possesses all the traits you want to see as he gets into his swing, maintaining solid rhythm in an athletic stance and showing control of the strike zone. Uses a small leg kick to lengthen his base and really gets into his legs to tap into his current strength. Showed versatility as a hitter, driving balls with intent to the middle of the field while also being able to shorten up, let the ball travel, and shoot it the other way in station‑to‑station fashion. At the hot corner, stayed in a consistent athletic position and showed quality lateral acceleration. Displayed his arm strength from multiple angles, ultimately topping out at 76 mph across the diamond.

2028 2B/RHP Tye Schwartz (St. Thomas Aquinas HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic build with room to add more strength. Quiet in the box, working from an athletic base before getting into a smooth, easy swing. Used the pull side well, producing low line drives and firm contact on the ground. Showed some of the quicker hands in the infield, with the ability to accelerate laterally, cover ground, and stay composed throughout his actions. On the mound, carried that same composure with fluid mechanics and a willingness to attack the zone, especially to the outer half. Fastball sat 77–78 mph.

2028 3B/OF Wilse Guerrero (Florida Virtual, FL)
Uncommitted. Stood out immediately with a well built frame and pure muscle from head to toe. Really utilizes his thick lower half to tap into his present physicality. No one showed more power at this event and it played to all fields. Produced consistent, effortless swings with the bat flying through the zone and the ball jumping off the barrel. Showed a strong ability to control the bat throughout the entire zone. Also showed that it was not just power. Demonstrated feel for the situation and was willing to stay inside a pitch and push it the other way to move runners. Strong follow with significant upside with the bat.

2028 3B/OF Jace Jenniex (Dr. Phillips HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Lean, long frame with present athleticism and clear physical projection. Moves with body control and natural quickness, pointing to even more impact as he continues to add strength. Emerged early in the outfield session, firing firm, accurate throws to third base and touching 88 mph, the top outfield velocity of the event. Followed with a strong infield workout, showing lateral mobility and the ability to finish plays on the move, highlighted by a smooth off‑balance throw on a slow roller. Closed out the day with a 6.88 in the 60, reinforcing a toolset built on speed, fluidity, and upside.

2029 1B/3B Jax Dare (Tequesta, FL)
Uncommitted. Shows plenty of present physicality with room to add even more strength, giving his profile real power upside. Works with a sizable leg kick yet stays balanced, keeping his momentum behind the ball and maintaining adjustability. Settles into a wide base at the end of his load, allowing him to anchor into the ground and drive through his lower half. Extends well through contact, with slow, controlled movements that translate into easy, loud carry off the barrel. The power was evident throughout, but his ability to drive the ball to all fields with authority is what truly separated him.

2030 SS/OF Elijah Hope (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)
Uncommitted. Lean, long‑legged frame with significant physical projection and plenty of upside still ahead. Sets up in a base slightly wider than shoulder‑width and maintains athleticism throughout the swing. After widening his base at the start of his load, he engages his backside well, creating a smooth upper‑cut path with natural lift. Shows above‑average bat speed and a strong feel for both the barrel and the zone, consistently driving the ball deep to the outfield. Topped out at 74 mph in the infield, the top mark in his group. The foundational tools are firmly in place, and as he continues to fill out, the ceiling only gets higher.
