Power Baseball 2025 Fall Season Tryout Camp Standouts Part 2

From August 15-17th, players from the 2026-2030 classes participated in this year’s Power Baseball 2025 Fall Season Tryout Camp, taking place at Turn2 Sports & Performance along with the Boombah Sports Complex. Pitchers threw bullpens on Friday night followed by pro-style workouts on Saturday, and live game action on Sunday. Below is Part 2 of 4 of the top performers our scouting staff felt stood out the most throughout the event and are strong follows heading into the fall season. Part 1 is HERE

2026 RHP CJ Sayler Jr. (North Marion HS, FL)
Elon commit. Athletic frame that will continue to add physicality. Noticeable jump in velocity he ran his fastball up to 93 mph, mostly sitting 90-92 with 2250+ RPM. Mixed in a 76-79 mph slider with late action at 2600+ RPM and an 80-81 mph changeup. During game action he put together a dominant outing, striking out four of the five batters faced. MLB Draft name to bookmark for next year. 

2026 MIF Braden Waring (Mount Dora Christian Academy, FL)
Uncommitted. Present strength throughout, notably in the lower half. Stood out from the left side of the plate offensively where he produced an impressive round of batting practice, spraying the ball to all parts of the field while staying short and compact. The hands work in rhythm with a present feel for the barrel. Still more gap-to-gap power to come as well. Fields the ball under control with accuracy on his throws across the diamond.

2026 OF/LHP Sawyer Smith (The Masters Academy, FL)
Uncommitted. Athletic frame with present physicality. From the right side of the plate he worked gap-to-gap, driving the ball with intent and creating hard contact. Short and aggressive swing that displays present juice, notably to the pull side. Accurate arm from the outfield in the mid 80s, above average runner who clocked in at 6.80 seconds for his 60 yard dash time. 

2027 LHP Lukas Stirewalt (West Orange HS, FL)
Recent Arkansas commit. Tall, projectable frame. Was one of the top arms in attendance as he tossed an impressive outing during game action where he struck out multiple batters. Sat 87-89 mph with his fastball with 2400+ RPM along with a low 80s changeup and low 70s curveball with depth, shape. Feel for his full arsenal and mixed up his pitches well. Stays balanced throughout his delivery. An arm that is trending up and will make another notable jump in the near future. 

2027 1B/RHP Dylan Montrowl (Lake Minneola HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Tall, athletic frame that will continue to become more physical. After a standout summer, Montrowl continued to shine as a prospect that displays big upside. Offensively from the right side he works from a confident approach and uses the whole field. Quiet lower half and the ball really jumps off the bat. Present power and can change the game with one swing. Loose, quick arm on the mound featuring a heavy fastball that 87-89, touching 90 with 2400-2500 RPM. Mixed in a curveball at 73-75 mph along with a splitter at 74-75 mph. 

2027 OF Manny Loud (Jesuit HS, FL) 
Uncommitted. Strong lower half which he implements into his swing offensively. Loud had a strong end to the summer offensively, producing multiple line drive base hits and continued to show that during batting practice. Laced multiple pitches back up the middle while showing some pull side juice as well. During game action he delivered with two strikes, going up in the zone and driving a ball into shallow left field for a single. Shows the ability to range left and right in the outfield, making accurate throws to the bag.

2027 C Matthew Wetherell (Trinity Catholic, FL)
Uncommitted. Was one of the top performers during the summer offensively as he produced multiple run-scoring base hits. This carried over to the event as he continued to stand out as an overall player. From the right side of the plate he roped the ball back up the middle, into left-center field during his batting practice rounds. Finds the barrel often. Behind the plate he showed off an above average arm, registering pop times consistently in the 1.91-1.94 secs range on his throws down to 2B.

2028 RHP/OF Ethan Smith (Lake Mary HS, FL)
Uncommitted. Was another top-two standout in his class, notably on the mound and offensively. Athletic frame with some present strength throughout. On the mound he displayed a quick arm with quality mechanics along with a strong lower half that he uses to drive to the plate. The fastball consistently sat 82-84 mph, touching 85 with some above average offspeed stuff  as the slider at 73-75 mph and 77-78 mph changeup. Offensively from the right side the hands are quick and strong through the zone he produced plenty of hard hit line drives during batting practice. This translated to game action when he ripped an RBI triple to deep right field. Topped out at 83 mph on his throws from the outfield. 

2029 LHP Alexander Lawhead (Satellite HS, FL)
Lean and athletic frame that will continue to fill out. Shows real upside on the mound with a loose and quick arm. Featured a fastball up to 81 mph along with the slider at 70-71 mph (2500+ RPM) and a 73-74 mph changeup that worked down in the zone. Multiple jumps in his overall stuff to come. 

2029 RHP Grady Goodlick (Satellite HS, FL)
Long and athletic frame with plenty of room to add physicality which will translate to jumps in his overall game. On the mound he sat 76-78 mph, touching 79 while mixing in a 70-72 mph changeup and a 66-69 mph curveball. Throws strikes and hit his spots. Offensively he produced a standout round of batting practice, hitting the baseball where it was pitched and displayed balance throughout his swing.
